Borrelli has worked at the European Commission since 1994. After 4 years in the
Translation Service and one year in the directorate general in charge of
Information and Communication, in 1999 he started working in the field of
Education and Vocational Training. For 4 years he was programme/project manager
and country desk officer for the "Leonardo da Vinci" programme. Since
2004 he is responsible for the general management of the Erasmus Mundus programme and more specifically for issues linked to student mobility
(scholarships, visa issues, alumni). He is also responsible for the contacts
with External Relation departments to ensure effective implementation of
Erasmus Mundus country-specific windows. He frequently represents the Education
and Culture directorate general vis-à-vis authorities and institutions in EU
and non-EU countries (participation in seminars, conferences, fairs, etc.) |
